Mission 2036: Odisha govt committed to mega industries to power development, says CM Mohan Majhi

While underlining the importance of industrialisation, the chief minister said that the state government is focusing on both large-scale industries and small and medium enterprises and including agro-based industries.

Odisha has a vast potential for growth owing to its natural resources and can be a growth engine of India. Moreover, the state government is committed to setting up mega industries, said Chief Minister Mohan Majhi.

While inaugurating 'Resurgent Odisha 2024', a business conclave organized by Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (UCCIL), Majhi said that focus would be given to setting up agriculture-based industries.

While underlining the importance of industrialisation, the chief minister said that the state government is focusing on both large-scale industries and small and medium enterprises and including agro-based industries.

According to the chief minister, Odisha has natural resources in abundance apart from vast coastline and tourist destinations that can create ample job opportunities as well.

Moreover, the state’s economy is expected to reach Rs 41 lakh crore by 2036 when the state will be 100 years since its formation, he added.
