Miscreants loot 1 kg gold, silver ornaments from jeweller in Odisha’s Gajapati

Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted one kg of gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs of rupees from a businessman at Mohana area in Gajapati district on Wednesday night.

As per reports, when the owner of Srihari Jewellery was shutting down his shop at Mohana market around 10 pm last night, two bike-borne miscreants reached the spot and snatched a bag from his hand. They immediately fled the spot on their bike after the incident.

As per the owner of the jewellery shop, there was around one kg of gold and silver ornaments in the bag.

Following the development, the jewellery shop owner lodged an FIR at Mohana police station.

After registering a case on the basis of the complaint, Mohana police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
