Minor OAS reshuffle after promotion of 15 officers in Odisha

In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Odisha government has effected transfer and new postings of two senior OAS (SAG) officers on Tuesday.

As per a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, Subhananda Mohapatra, OAS (SAG), currently serving as Additional Secretary-cum-OSD, RSBY Cell, Health & Family Welfare Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to Government, Housing & Urban Development Department.

Biswaranjan Nayak, OAS (SAG), who is serving as CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad (Jharsuguda), has been transferred and appointed as Additional Secretary to Government, Health & Family Welfare Department.

The officers concerned are centrally relieved from their present places of posting with effect from July 9, 2025, the official notification stated.

Recently on July 2, the Odisha government had promoted 15 Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers to higher ranks on an ad-hoc basis, pending recommendations from the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).

While seven officers serving in the Superior Administrative Grade (SAG) were promoted to the rank of Special Secretary in Level-17, eight OAS officers in the Super time Scale were elevated to the Superior Administrative Grade (SAG) in Level-16.
