There will be no respite from the heat wave conditions in Odisha as the mercury will rise by two to three degrees Celsius over the next three days in the State from Thursday, predicted the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.

As per the prediction by IMD, the heat wave condition will continue and the maximum temperature may reach up to 41 degree Celsius in as many as nine places in the State. 

Places like Nayagarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Titlagarh, Bhawanipatna and Paralakhemundi may witness maximum temperature of more than 38 degree Celsius. 

As per IMD sources, no large change will be thereafter in the weather condition at many places over the districts in Odisha for the next few days.

Meanwhile, Jharsuguda and Chandbali witnessed highest temperature of 40 degree Celsius on Wednesday. As many as eleven places like Sundargarh, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Titlagarh, Nayagarh, Bhubaneswar, Bhawanipatna, Rayagada, Boudh and Paralakhemundi experienced maximum temperatures of 39 degree Celsius. 

Similarly, places like Rourkela, Baripada, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri witnessed maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius.
