The Commissionerate of Police has geared up for the oath-taking ceremony of the first Chief Minister of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha which is scheduled to be held at the Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar at 4.45 p.m. on June 12. 

Extensive security arrangement plans have been drawn up to ensure that the event should be completed without any law and order situation. 

While informing journalists, Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda said that all the preparations for the swearing-in ceremony are at the final stages.

“For the Prime Minister's visit, we are making security arrangements as per the ' Blue Book'. We will soon finalise our preliminary plans for the security arrangements at the Biju Patnaik International Airport, root lining, Raj Bhawan and the venue. Besides deployment of security personnel in the high-rise buildings around the venue, we are also checking the vehicles in the city every night and city hotels," said Panda. 

Panda also informed that a guideline for traffic and parking arrangements will also be issued as a huge gathering is expected at the venue. 

Going to inform about the security arrangements for the dignitaries including Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of other states, who are expected to attend the event, the Police Commissioner said they are ready with the arrangements.
