Maoists may kidnap Ollywood actors shooting in Bolangir: Intel report

While Odia movie industry is currently going through a difficult time, possibility of Maoist threat to a shooting team in Bolangir seems to have compounded the problem further.

As per intelligence report, the Red ultras are planning to kidnap the star artist of an upcoming Odia movie. The district police have been directed to remain alert and take necessary actions to prevent any kind of untoward incidents.

As per reports, the shooting work of an upcoming Odia movie is currently going on in Khaprakhol area of the district. However, the area is known as a Mao insurgent area and the naxals have been active in the area for the last few years.

While the shooting work is going on in the remote area, the artistes are also residing nearby. As per the warning issued by the intelligence team, Maoists are planning to carry out their agenda by kidnapping the star artist of the upcoming movie and spread terror.

No reaction could be obtained from the shooting team or the local police in this regard.
