The BJP's Odisha unit president, Manmohan Samal on Tuesday cleared the air surrounding the ongoing speculation that Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi might join the saffron party.

While speaking to reporters in Cuttack, Samal said, “BJP’s door is open for all. The party will consider and decide who wants to join BJP.”

On BJD’s press meet, Samal further stated “It will be our own party that will decide who will join us or not and not anybody else.”

It is pertinent to mention here that politics is active in Odisha after Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi, who has been expelled from the ruling BJD, took a dig at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s office on Monday.

Panigrahi yesterday alleged that “A gang of five has been looting the State. The Chief Minister’s office has turned into the epicentre of corruption. It has become the center of conspiracy and counter-conspiracy. The officers of the CMO are involved in corruption. The biggest scam is happening in the recruitment of OPSC, SSC chairpersons, and members.”
