Man, nephew killed in road accident in Odisha's Nuapada
In a heart-wrenching incident, a man and his nephew were killed in a road accident at Krishna square under Komna police station in Nuapada district on Friday night.
The deceased have been identified as Padman Majhi and his nephew Prem Majhi.
As per reports, the tragic incident took place late last night when Padman of Khairbhadi village under Kureswar Panchayat, along with his nephew Prem, was travelling to Komna on a motorcycle. An unidentified vehicle reportedly hit their bike on the National Highway near Krishna square, killing both on the spot.
According to sources, the deceased nephew, Prem Majhi, was a BSF jawan who had returned to his village on leave last Thursday.
Upon being informed, Komna police reached the spot and have started an investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, agitated locals reportedly staged a protest at the site, demanding adequate compensation for the bereaved families.
A couple of days back, a father and his young daughter were killed in a road accident that occurred near Kothiasahi under Kujanga block on the Cuttack-Paradip road.
The incident reportedly took place at around 4 pm when a stone-chip-laden truck ran over a motorcycle carrying the victims.
