Man ‘kills self after wife commits suicide’ in Koraput over family feud

In a tragic incident, a man allegedly killed himself after his wife committed suicide over a suspected family feud at Baliapadar village under Boipariguda block of Koraput district on Thursday.

The deceased couple has been identified as Jinu Parija and his wife Rukmani Parija.

As per reports, the couple was living happily with their three sons. However, they had a conflict over a trivial issue which led to a heated exchange between both of them on Wednesday. Following the incident, Rukmani locked herself inside a room. When she didn’t come out of the room for a long time, the family members got afraid. Subsequently, they broke open the door and found to their utter dismay that Rukmani had hung herself to death.

Jinu was crestfallen after the incident. Later, he was discovered hanging from a tree by the villagers on Thursday morning. As per the family members, Jinu killed himself by hanging from a tree shocked over his wife’s suicide.

Upon being informed, Boipariguda Police reached the spot and started an inquiry into the incident.

The whole village is in a state of shock after the tragic incident. Three sons of the deceased couple are staring at a gloomy future following the suicide of their parents.
