Man goes missing after jumping into Mahanadi river in Sambalpur

A man has reportedly gone missing after he allegedly jumped into Mahanadi River from Chaurpur bridge in Sambalpur on Thursday morning.

The man has been identified as Samiran Pradhan of Patulidhipa village under Naktideul block in the district.

According to sources, Pradhan was working with a private company and living with his wife and two children at a rented house in Sambalpur.

On Thursday morning, his scooter, slippers and mobile phone were recovered from the bridge, sources informed.

On being informed about the incident, fire services personnel rushed to the spot and launched a search operation.
