The Mahasuara Nijoga has reportedly prepared a tentative rate chart of the Mahaprasad of Puri Srimandir.

As per reports, the rate chart has been prepared to ensure the smooth sale of Mahaprasad to the devotees at the Ananda Bazaar of the 12th-century shrine.

The plate having Abhada (rice), dali (dal), besara, mahura and kanika will cost Rs 120 for the devotees. Similarly, the cost of another plate with saga (leaf vegetables) along with all other items has been fixed at Rs 150. The plate with 11 items of Mahaprasad will cost Rs 200. Moreover, the tentative rates of Mahaprasad served in Baihandi, Dasia, Bada Matha Kudua, and Sana Matha Kudua have also been fixed.

However, as per reports, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has not yet received the tentative rate chart prepared by the Mahasuara Nijoga.

“The tentative rate chart has been prepared in a balanced manner. However, it is not the final rate chart as more deliberation will be made before the formal announcement of the final rate chart,” said a servitor.

Last month, the SJTA decided to display the rate chart of Mahaprasad at the Ananda Bazaar. The decision was taken at a disciplinary committee meeting chaired by SJTA’s chief administrator, Ranjan Kumar Das. The meeting was attended by delegates from the Mahasuara Nijog, members of the temple Managing Committee, and district police.
