Lingaraj Temple In Bhubaneswar
Extensive preparations are underway at the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar as a large number of devotees are expected to throng the sacred temple on the occasion of Maha Shivratri festival on Wednesday.
Odisha's Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Monday informed that all necessary arrangements are being meticulously finalized to allow devotees to perform their prayers without hindrance. The ceremonious lighting of the Mahadipa is scheduled for 10 pm on the sacred night.

A series of key meetings between various committees of Lingaraj Temple and local authorities have taken place, with the Deputy Commissioner of Police and other senior officials actively reviewing safety protocols. These discussions aim to ensure effective collaboration and coordination among those involved in the festival logistics.
Significant provisions are in place to facilitate a smoother worship experience for the devotees. Two substantial meetings have reviewed these arrangements, as informed by the Law Minister. A highlight of these sessions was the focus on reinforcing security with additional CCTV installations and streamlining the entry process at the Lingaraj temple.
Strict access strategies are being implemented, including designated routes for devotees and specific entry points for priests and their families. VIP pass holders will also have distinct entry procedures to maintain orderly worship conditions.
For devotees also special provisions are under consideration to ensure their convenience and accessibility during the festivities. The implementation phase for all tactical plans is well underway, promising a serene and secure environment for all participants.
