Locals accord grand farewell to Sub-Collector in Mayurbhanj with dance and music

Local residents showered their love and respect on the Sub-Collector of Kaptipada division in Mayurbhanj district by giving him a grand and memorable farewell following his transfer.

As per reports, Bhagaban Behera was the Sub-Collector of Kaptipada division for the last five years. He earned huge popularity in the area due to his great service to the people during his tenure.

After Behera’s transfer, local residents wanted to honour him. They gave him a memorable farewell by dancing to the tunes of the music. Huge number of local tribal people joined the farewell procession from Behera’s office towards his official residence by dancing vigorously to the tune of ‘Madala’ and tribal songs.

Officials and employees of the sub-division also gave farewell to Behera by giving him bouquets. Several other organisations in the area also felicitated Behera.

New Sub-Collector Sushant Kumar Barik has taken charges from Behera.
