Even as the controversy centering on actor Manoj Mishra and president of the Utkal Cine Chambers of Commerce Sanjay Nayak refuses to end, actor-cum-producer Arindam Roy on Sunday appealed to the MINDGAME actor to bury the hatchet and work together in the larger interest of the Odia film Industry.
“I would like to request you (Manoj Mishra) to end the ongoing controversy. You can end it by asking your fans to put to rest whatever is going on. A minor squabble between two stars is going to divide the state. It is being politicized and is not good. It is our own interests that matter,” said Roy.
“I have been trying to contact you since morning. I have also texted messages requesting you to talk to me so that we can solve the matter. When there is no letter mentioning your ban, then why is this controversy? The situation is coming to such a pass that people are blaming the Odia film industry,” he added.
“Such an unsavoury controversy has come up at a time when we have started producing good films. It is the responsibility of all who are associated with the film industry to keep it alive. Through the media, I would like to request you to forget the past. I have suffered financial losses and you have as well. Just let bygones and be bygones and we should think about the future. I again request you to resolve the issue through mutual discussion. It is like our family matter and there should be no intervention from outsiders in our family matter,” observed Roy.
