Pattas to landless people in Odisha soon
Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari informed that special measures are being undertaken to provide land pattas to the landless families in the state.
Sources said the state government is planning to provide land ownership to every landless person in Odisha, including the poor and tribals living on forest land without pattas.
Pujari has reportedly directed the officials to complete a survey by September 15. After the survey, land pattas will be issued to the eligible beneficiaries by December 2024. The survey work is likely to start from August 15.
Instructions have been issued to provide land pattas to the landless people by the year-end. It is said that any poor person not having land in villages or cities will get pattas for four decimals of land within a dedicated timeframe.
Various other issues were also reviewed by the Minister. Similarly, directions have also been issued to record the government land in favour of the government or aided educational institutions who have the possession.
