Lady doctor found dead under mysterious circumstances in Odisha’s Sundargarh

A woman AYUSH doctor posted at the Runagaon Primary Health Centre in Sundargarh district was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Dr. Salila Panda.

According to reports, she did not wake up from her bed in the morning, following which her husband rushed her to the Badagaon hospital. However, doctors there declared her dead.

Initial allegations suggest that Dr. Panda may have consumed an excessive number of sleeping pills, leading to her death. Her husband has lodged a written complaint with the Badagaon police, raising concerns about the nature of the incident.

Meanwhile, police have seized the body and launched an investigation. They are currently awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Badagaon Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Bibhuti Bhusan Bhoi said, “Dr Panda has been posted here for the last 10-15 years. An unnatural death case has been registered. Her husband and along with her family members have lodged an FIR, and none of them have alleged any foul play. “

“We are awaiting the post-mortem report, after which the exact cause of death can be ascertained. However, there is no indication of foul play based on the initial investigation,” said the SDPO.
