Mystery shrouded the death of a woman doctor whose body was found at Joda Health & Wellness Centre in Odisha’s Keonjhar district. The deceased has been identified as Subhashree Kar.
According to sources, Subhashree was working as a doctor at the local primary health centre in Joda. She use to live on the first floor of the health centre and treat patients on the ground floor.
However, she was absent from duty on the occasion of New Year. Later, some staff of the health centre alerted the cops after she was nowhere to be found.
On being alerted, a team of cops reached the health centre and found her room locked from inside. They broke open the house door only to find her lying unconscious on her bed. She was taken to the health centre where doctors declared her brought dead.
The suspicious death of Subhashree has left her co-workers and staff perplexed as she seemed to be happy and content with her job and life. Circumstantial evidence suggests that she died by suicide while many stated that she might have been killed in a pre-planned manner.
However, the reason for her alleged suicide or murder is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, a video of doctor Subhashree dancing and having a gala time with the staff of the health centre is going viral. She seems to be having fun and in a happy and content mood. She had celebrated Zero Night with fellow staff at the health centre before going to her room.
“How could such a content, happy and joyful girl end her life? She had danced and enjoyed the 31st night. So, we suspect there is some mystery behind her death,” alleged family members.
Meanwhile, fresh reports suggest that things were not well between Subhashree and her alleged boyfriend Dibyaranjan Majhi, also a doctor. She had also lodged a complaint against Majhi on December 21 at Joda police station.
Her complaint stated that she was in a relationship with Majhi for the past six years. However, he had used her on the false promise of marriage. However, doctor Subhashree had withdrawn the complaint after the issue was amicably solved.
Now, her mysterious death, just 10 days after the complaint has brought her alleged boyfriend under the radar. However, Majhi refused to comment in this regard and switched off his phone.
When contacted, Joda police said that her family members had been informed and further probe into the matter was on.
The exact reason of her death will be known after the arrival of post-mortem reports and proper investigation, stated Joda IIC.
