The entire nation is shocked and filled with anger over the brutal sexual assault and murder of a woman postgraduate trainee doctor of Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

The PG students of MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur on Monday condemned the incident and demanded stern action against those involved. They are also demanding security at the workplace.

“We are serving people round-the-clock. Earlier, we have been demanding security at the workplace as there were earlier incidents of assaults on doctors. Now the recent sexual assault on a doctor is shocking,” said a protesting doctor.

Another PG student said, “We are wearing black badges and condemning such incidents. We are demanding stern action against the accused.”

Another protesting medico said, “We are doing duty and working hard for the safety of patients. At the same time, we also need a safe environment. If it is not provided how we will be able to work.

The MKCG Students' Union said that they had decided to launch a cease work. But they staged a protest only by wearing black badges in the larger interest of the patients.
