Jail returnee brandishes sword during Ganesh Puja celebration, leaves 4 injured
A criminal on police records spread terror at a Ganesh Puja Mandap under Badagada police limits in Bhubaneswar with a sword. He openly brandished the sword and threatened to hack people to death, leaving at least four people injured.
The notorious criminal is a jail returnee recently released from prison. He has been identified as Chintu Mohanty. As per sources, the accused was drunk and ran around with his dagger, threatening people.
A video of Chintu’s rowdyism captured on camera has gone viral on social media. Based on a complaint by the injured persons, Badagada police registered a case and arrested Chintu who had been absconding after the incident.
As per reports, he has several cases against his name in Badagada and other police stations in the state capital.
