Just days after massive raids on liquor units in Odisha, officials of the Income Tax department once again raided Boudh Distillery Private Limited in Boudh and reportedly seized important documents from its office on Thursday.  

As per reports, a six-member team of the IT department came in a car in the morning and carried important documents in six bags.  

However, no statement was available from the IT officials in this regard.

On December 6, the IT department carried out raids on the distillation centres of Boudh Distillery Private Limited and other locations including its corporate office at Palaspalli in Bhubaneswar, and the residences of some of its officials. The IT sleuths examined the production and transactions of the company. Apart from raids on its factory and office at Rambhakata,

IT officials also raided Ranisita Rice mill owned by trader Ashok Kumar Agrawal at Cuttack, his residence, and other locations for his alleged link with the country liquor trade.
