Soon after his suspension from the BJD vice-president post, senior BJD leader and Khandapada MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik again made some shocking statements.

Expressing doubts over authenticity of the removal order, Patnaik said, “The order of my removal from the post of vice-president carries the signature of Naveen Patnaik. But I suspect whether it is the CM’s real or fake signature.”

According to the BJD leader, he had sought two minutes time to meet the Chief Minister. He never met Soumya, but was removed from the post of vice-president instead.

“I had sought two minutes meeting with CM two days back. But today, I have been removed from the post of vice-president. Hence, it is hard on my part to judge whether the signature is genuine or forged,” said Patnaik.

On his removal, Patnaik further said that it is always the prerogative of the party’s president CM Naveen Patnaik to assign responsibilities to persons and pick them as associates.

“CM had picked me as the vice-president and now he has removed me. There is no deviation in it. I don’t think I have lost anything as there are several leaders in the party who hold posts and do nothing. Everybody knows what powers I enjoyed as party’s vice-president. This is not the end. I will definitely speak at the right time,” he added.
