Is BJD on the verge of facing an imminent collapse in Odisha? Well, the recent statements by several ex-BJD leaders including Ex-MLA Amar Satpathy and Ex-MP Prasanna Patasani are indicating that all is not well in the BJD owing to the growing fissure post 2024 poll debacle. On Tuesday, Satpathy predicted that a lot of things are likely to happen as far as the political scenario is concerned in Odisha in the coming days.

After claiming that he is no longer in the Conch party, Satpathy today stated that his comments about BJD received support from several party leaders. However, they are not coming publicly and they also want how to revive the party. My statement of fixing things right in BJD has not gone well with the party, said Satpathy.

“I do not know what steps the party takes after this. A lot of leaders have spoken with me and they are not coming up openly. As I am no longer in BJD, I cannot comment on it. However, BJP has taken advantage of the situation as the party won 20 Lok Sabha seats which nobody thought of,” said Satpathy.

According to Satpathy, BJD being a regional party had raised the issue of Odia Asmita which subsequently became the weapon for BJP to make rapid inroads in the state during the elections and people also supported the saffron party.

“As far as the political scenario is concerned, the stage is set for the BJP to expand its base in the state. A lot of things are likely to happen in the near future in the state,” Satpathy added.

No comments were received from the BJD over the statements of Satpathy.
