Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Odisha Assembly, Jayanarayan Mishra on Monday raised questions over the 5T initiative of the State government during the zero hour.

“What is 5T, it is not understandable. Is it a department? If so, where is its office, at Rajiv Bhawan, Lok Seva Bhawan or Kharavela Bhawan? Whether the 5T department has been created to diminish the authority of other departments," Mishra questioned.

“If 5T is a department, why no discussion is being held over it in the Assembly. The Odisha government should clarify it,” the saffron party leader demanded.

Replying to Mishra’s question, government chief whip Prasant Muduli said 5T is Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s vision.

“5T might not be a particular department, but it is the vision of CM Naveen Patnaik which aims at effective functioning of government machinery,” said Muduli.
