SOG jawans have managed to recover several explosives belonging to the Naxals including some improvised hand grenades and gelatin sticks in Kandhamal district.

As per reports, an anti-naxal operation was launched on March 6 by the SOG jawans in the Durgapanga reserve forest area under Kotagarh and Belghar police limits in Kandhamal district.

On Saturday, the Naxals opened fire on the security forces when they were operating near the Bhalugurha, Sukarapadar, and Dimili areas.

The Maoists also lobbed grenades upon the police team as they were in an advantageous position.
