Best known for its humanitarian activities, Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA), organised a mega specialised free health camp at Shankarpur panchayat in Choudwar tehsil of Cuttack district. 

The health camp was inaugurated by former MLA Dharmananda Behera. IMFA’s senior manager Sarada Prasad Rao, Manas Pradhan, Ashis Das along with other staff and officials were present on the occasion. The camp was supervised by IMFA’s public relations officer Dhrubacharan Rout.

The patients got expert medical advice and underwent checkups by a team of seven doctors including a paediatrician and a gynaecologist. The patients were also provided with free medicines as prescribed by the doctors. 

Around 500 people from five panchayats including Shankarpur panchayat attended the camp and availed the benefits of health camp. The residents of these panchayats have been deprived of direct healthcare facilities.

“We are providing healthcare facilities to those villagers who are not getting healthcare facilities at their doorstep.  We focus particularly on pregnant women, elderly persons aged above 60 years, children below five years, and others. Our prime objective is to provide specialists’ service in villages,” said Senior Manager, IMFA, Manas Pradhan.
