If money sought for SUBHADRA Yojana, lodge police complaint: Odisha Govt

The BJP-led Odisha government announced that any demand for money for the SUBHADRA Yojana registration should be reported to the police.

SUBHADRA Yojana is meant for poor women of the state. If anyone asks for a bribe for registration, action will be taken against them, the BJP-led state government said on Tuesday. 

With reports of money being demanded from women pouring in, the state government intervened and urged the people to lodge police complaints against those who were asking for money.

If anyone demands money for the registration, action will be taken against them. For form distribution and online registration, nothing should be paid. The government is giving Rs 15 for each uploaded form. 

Notably, this much-awaited yojana will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Puri on his birthday on September 17.
