Since the terrible train accident at Bahanaga in Balasore, both the Centre and the Odisha government have been trying their best to hand over the bodies to their relatives.

As per the latest reports, out of the 278 dead bodies, 177 bodies have been identified so far. The rest of the bodies are kept at six hospitals in Bhubaneswar; AIIMS, Capital Hospital, SUM Hospital, KIMS, Hitech Hospital, and AMRI Hospital.

The State government has advised the kin to visit the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) control room at Satyanagar where all the pictures of the deceased have been displayed for identification.

The BMC has also issued toll-free numbers, 1929 and 18003450061 for getting further assistance.

Pictures of the deceased have also been uploaded on the websites: https://srcodisha.nic.in/, https://www.bmc.gov.in, and https://www.osdma.org.

The government has advised children to avoid viewing these images.

No one (media/individual/firms, etc.) can reproduce/publish and use the images for any purpose without the prior written approval of the Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha.
