IAS reshuffle: 3 Odisha district Collectors transferred; Siddharth Shankar Swain new Puri Collector

In a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre, the Odisha government on Wednesday transferred Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner Siddharth Shankar Swain and appointed him as Puri Collector. Swain was also holding the additional charge as the Vice-Chairman of Cuttack Development Authority (CDA).

A notification in this regard has been issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department.

As per the notification, Puri Collector and District Magistrate Bijay Kumar Dash has been appointed as the CMC Commissioner. Moreover, the post of CMC Commissioner has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Joint Secretary to the government in the IAS cadre of the state.

Similarly, Ashish Thakare Collector and District Magistrate, Mayurbhanj is appointed as Collector and District Magistrate, Balasore.

Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, Collector and District Magistrate, Balasore is appointed as Collector & District Magistrate, Mayurbhanj, the notification read.
