In a massive statement, Sujata made it clear that neither she will tender her resignation nor Pranab will fight in the by-election.

“Those who have brought me here have not told me anything about it. Whatever is being circulated over social media platforms has no substance or truth in it. I have neither been told to tender my resignation nor have I been informed about Pranab fighting a by-election. Pranab is not power-hankering and he said to fight for Jajpur and not in the by-election. He has never told me about this,” said Sujata.

Speculations are rife that Pranab would contest from Jajpur in the upcoming by-election after he attended an event recently and said, “I’m working for Naveen Patnaik, for BJD party and entire Odisha. I thank Naveen Patnaik for giving me everything I have demanded from road infrastructure to medical college. I’m Jajpur’s son and no power can stop a son who wants to come to his mother. I get a lot of energy after meeting all the people. Now I’m ready for another fight in Jajpur.”
