The income tax (I-T) raids at the properties linked to industrialist and coal trader Ghanshyam Dalmia continue in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Kolkata, Mumbai, and other multiple places.

Around 100 officers are carrying out the searches for the third day today. The raid is underway at 10 places belonging to Dalmia in Sundargarh, Rourkela, and Bargarh. This apart, the raid teams are simultaneously carrying out the search operation at 30 places in other states.

The searches are on at his two-storied building and office in Gopalpur, his houses, business establishments, showroom, sponge iron factory, MCL coal transportation site, and offices that belong to Dalmia (Bunty) and his brothers Bablu and Jogesh. If reports are to be believed, a huge cash of Rs 250 crore has been seized by the team along with 3 kg gold. However, the I-T team refused to divulge any specific information in this regard.

According to sources, the raid is also on at the residence and office of Nandakishore Agarwal at Uditnagar, Rourkela, and two other places linked to Dalmia. In Chhattisgarh, the raid team is searching an Iron, Steel, and Power plant factory, residence, office at Raighar, and an office in Bilaspur. The officials also continued the raid at his office in Kolkata. 

Worth mentioning, Dalmia has business in coal mining, the steel industry, sponge iron factories, and hotel outlets in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh, and Kolkata. 

No comment could be obtained from Ghanshyam Dalmia in connection with the ongoing raids.
