Hurun Rich List: Gautam Adani replaces Mukesh Ambani, Odisha’s Tara Patanaik also in list

In a new turn around, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani replaced Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani to become the richest Indian, as per the 2024 Hurun India Rich List.

The list, which captured Indians having a networth of over Rs 1,000 crore, grew by 220 individuals to 1,539 people in 2024. The cumulative wealth has seen a 46 per cent jump in the year, reported the New Indian Express.

This time, one notable addition to the 2024 Hurun India Rich List is the Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan with a substantial net worth of Rs 7,300 crore.

From Odisha, the promoters of Falcon Marine Exports, Tara Ranjan Patnaik and family also feature in the Hurun India Rich List with net assets of Rs 4,900 crore. The Falcon group is engaged in seafood exports spanning across the world.
