High drama at wedding venue, Odisha man thrashed 'during second marriage' 

High drama broke out during a wedding ceremony on the premises of Dula Devi temple at Balakati on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Sunday. A man identified as Jogesh Hati of Chandrama Patapur under Jankia Police limits in Khordha district was thrashed by his wife and her family members, allegedly during his second marriage bid. The man was later handed over to police.

As per reports, Jogesh married Ahalaya Hati of Ganeswarpur under Erasama block of Jagatsinghpur in 2010. The couple has two daughters from the wedlock and their conjugal life was going on smoothly till Jogesh reportedly fell in love with a girl. This created a deep rift between the couple.

Jogesh secretly arranged his marriage with his lady love at Dula Devi temple on Sunday. However, his wife came to know about it and rushed to the spot along with her two daughters and kinsmen. They severely thrashed Jogesh. Taking advantage of the chaos, the girl, whom Jogesh was planning to marry, reportedly managed to flee the spot. 

On being informed, Balianta police swung into action and detained Jogesh.

However, no comments have been received from the police.
