Meanwhile, continuous rainfall across the coastal districts has resulted in waterlogging in several areas. Flooding has also created challenges for tourists at the Konark Sun Temple with people seen wading through knee-deep water as the temple's entrance has been submerged.

Normal life has been severely hit with knee-deep waters making it hard for vehicles to ply on roads near Iskcon Temple and other places in Bhubaneswar.

Weather scientist Dr Sharat Chandra Sahu has forecast that the weather will be partially cloudy in the state for the next one or two days. The wet spell is likely to continue till today i.e. Friday, especially coastal Odisha and north and south interior Odisha will experience rain with thunder and lightning, he said, adding that the amount of rain will decrease gradually from Friday.
