Maoist health camp busted on Odisha-Chhattisgarh border
Time and again you might have come across reports of seizure of medicines and explosives from Maoist dumps in different parts of Odisha. For the first time, several eye-testing equipment have been seized in a dense forest on Odisha border.
The security forces have discovered a Maoist-operated health camp within the dense forests of Chintalnar, located on the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border, during an operation conducted by the Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF) CoBRA unit.
Authorities seized sophisticated medical apparatus, including an automated eye-testing device, hot water bags, alongside a generous supply of pharmaceuticals. The utilisation of such advanced medical devices, typically requires skilled technicians.

Under such circumstances, the question remains whether there are some trained professionals among the Maoists or the rebels sought the help of any doctor and other paramedical staff to conduct the health camp in the area.
It has been reported that Maoists were extending their health services to local villagers. The unexpected presence of state-of-the-art equipment indicates the involvement of trained professionals within these groups.
While the presence of this equipment suggests oversight by some trained individuals. Whether any government technician or staff has supplied these devices or has any possible links with the Maoists is now subject to further investigation by the concerned agencies.
