Trouble seems to be mounting for singer Sourin Bhatt, who is accused of sexually harassing a woman and cheating her of lakhs of rupees as the Commissionerate Police has now geared to freeze his bank accounts.

The development came a day after the Commissionerate Police issued a lookout circular against Sourin Bhatt after not finding the singer at his residence in Kolkata.

As per reports, the Mahila Police station in Cuttack has written to two banks, including the Bank of Baroda in Kolkata, to freeze the singer’s account. It is worth mentioning that the Commissionerate Police stepped up the process to arrest Sourin Bhatt after the Orissa High Court recently rejected his anticipatory bail plea in the harassment case.

On Monday, Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra said, “A special team had gone to Kolkata and searched for him at his residence but the team had to return empty-handed. Subsequently, we have issued a lookout notice against him through the Crime Branch. Now, he can’t go outside the country.”

On June 12, a woman had alleged that the singer had sexually harassed and cheated her of lakhs of rupees. The complainant had reportedly come in contact with the singer in 2015.
