Gujarati businessman from Bhubaneswar missing; suicide from Trisulia bridge suspected
A Gujarati businessman from Bhubaneswar has reportedly gone missing from Wednesday. It is suspected that the businessman, identified as Tushar Bhatt from Patia area, has ended his life by jumping off the Trisulia bridge into Kathajodi river. Such apprehension has been raised as Tushar’s car and shoes have been recovered from the Trisulia bridge.
Earlier, some locals had alerted Baranga police regarding the vehicle which was spotted on the Trisulia bridge for a long time. It is suspected that Tushar resorted to such extreme after suffering some loss in online trading. However, a clarity on the entire incident is yet to emerge.
Sources said Tushar had left home on Wednesday at around 2 pm and didn't return. Later, his wife lodged a complaint with the police.
Earlier on Wednesday, a woman from Odia Bazar area in Cuttack had allegedly jumped off the Trisulia bridge in a similar fashion. The woman, identified as Mamata Sahu’s two-wheeler was also recovered from the Trisulia bridge. Despite a massive search operation, Mamata’s body could not be traced from the Kathajodi river.
