Girl student dies after falling off Puri-Barbil Express train ‘while taking selfie’

A girl student tragically lost her life after falling from a moving train while attempting to take a selfie in Odisha’s Keonjhar district. The incident took place on the Puri-Barbil Express between Tangiriapal and Sagadapata railway stations on Friday.

The girl, who hails from Dalang village, was studying in a private college in Bhubaneswar.

As per initial reports, the girl student was travelling home with friends when the tragic accident occurred.

The officials have recovered the body following the incident and an investigation is underway to determine further details surrounding the accident. 

Time and again, the Indian Railway authorities have been appealing to passengers to exercise caution and refrain from dangerous activities while aboard trains. This unfortunate event serves as a poignant reminder of the risks associated with the pursuit of social media trends.
