Intensifying its probe into the death of a girl in a hotel in Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police is reportedly analysing the Call Detail Record (CDR) of the deceased.

As per reports, the police have been examining the CDR of the deceased, Subhalaxmi to ascertain her whereabouts and activities prior to her death.

Sources said the police are questioning her family members, a male friend and the owner and employees of the hotel where her body was found hanging.

Subhalaxmi’s uncle, Rajiv Padhi, with whom she had been staying in Bhubaneswar for the last two years, said, “She wanted to work as a dancer. She even tried to contact a bar to work as a bar dancer, but the bar rejected her because she was not an adult by then.”

“I had not put any pressure on her. If I had pressurised her to do something against her will then she would have ended her life in the room or would have informed the same to her family members. She would not have checked into a hotel to commit suicide,” Padhi said.

Meanwhile, the authorities of Kamala Nehru College, where she was reportedly studying revealed that she never got readmitted in Plus-2 second year. “Subhalaxmi was a 2021-admission batch student of this college. But she never filled up her examination form to appear for the CHSE exams of 2023,” said an official of the Kamala Nehru College, Ramakant Mohapatra.

Notably, Subhalaxmi had checked into the hotel located in Laxmisagar area at 3.20 am last Friday. After finding her body hanging in the room (Room No- 205), the hotel staff immediately informed the Laxmisagar Police Station.
