Ganja worth over Rs 9 crore seized from woman passenger at Bhubaneswar Airport

The Bhubaneswar Customs Department has seized ganja worth over Rs 9 crore from a woman passenger at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on Monday. 

According to sources, the woman was carrying the contraband item in a bag, meticulously packed in small packets.

Following the seizure during a baggage search, the woman was immediately arrested, sources informed, adding that the concerned authorities have launched an investigation to determine the source and intended destination of the large quantity of the contraband.

If sources are to be believed, the woman had arrived at the Bhubaneswar airport from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia when she was intercepted by the Customs department team during baggage checking.

The contraband meticulously packed in 19 packets was seized from her possession.
