From 12 ACs to remote-controlled gate, IDCO junior manager's lavish lifestyle and property detected in Vigilance raid

From 12 air conditioners to remote-controlled main gate, from 20 ATM cards to baths using mineral water: the lavish lifestyle of IDCO Junior Manager Bijay Kumar Udaysingh has left Vigilance officials stunned.

The luxurious amenities inside his house spread over 7000 sqft valued worth Rs 3.22 crore can even leave Bollywood actors, industrialists and politicians far behind. Even his monthly electric bill is way more than an average Indian’s monthly salary.

Moreover, the central geyser and water purifier installed at the house of Udaysingh ensures every tap in his home releases mineral water, even the one in the bathroom. Udaysingh ’s dressing room is also equipped with all modern amenities and his watch and sunglasses collection is also a testament to his lifestyle filled with luxury.

He even has a bar in his house. If sources are to be believed,  the interior of his bathroom is more than Rs 10-15 lakhs. Even the doors, chairs, dining tables, and beds are all imported and can hardly be found in Odisha. The ‘jhumars’ and lights inside his house are eye-goggling. Bijay also owns a fish aquarium worth lakhs which reflects his luxurious lifestyle.

Furthermore, his vehicle parking spot itself has eight fans. The electronic gadgets in his house are one of its kind. All the doors are electronically controlled and no one can enter his house without his consent.

Interestingly, there is a room in the house that is electronically locked and can only be opened by him. Even Vigilance is failing to break open the door. Vigilance officials suspect the room to accommodate more luxury items, money and whatnot.

During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed by in the name of Udaysingh and his family members;
1.    A four-storeyed building with area approx 7500 Sqft. over Plot No.504, Khata No.189, Arya Vihar, under Rajarani Mouza, Bhubaneswar worth over Rs.3.22 Crores.
2.     A Flat vide No.430, Block-B, 4th floor under Balukhanda Mouza, Dist-Puri. 
3.    3 nos of high-value homestead plots of which 2 in prime area of Bhubneswar & 1 in Khordha. Details as under;
i)    A piece of land vide plot No.504, Khata No.189 at Mauza-Rajarani, Bhubaneswar.
ii)    A piece of land vide plot No.504, Khata No.189 at Mauza-Rajarani, Bhubaneswar.
iii)    A piece of land vide plot No.102, Khata No.991 with area 0.39 dcml at Mauza-Pratapsasan, Khordha.    
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the aboveflat/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
4.    Bank deposits approx. Rs.33 Lakhs.
5.    Cash Rs.4.50 Lakhs.
6.    Other deposits and investments are being ascertained.
7.    1 two-wheeler.

Till the filing of the report, the raid by the Vigilance is underway.
