Four Railway Over-Bridges (ROBs) at a cost of Rs 266.30 crore will come up in the Bhubaneswar Parliamentary constituency area. As a part of this, the foundation stone for the ROB at Kalarahanga was laid down on Monday. 

For the ROB, a foundation stone laying ceremony was organised at Kalarahanga on Monday. While BJP’s Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi attended the event as the chief guest, Bhubaneswar North MLA Sushant Rout and hundreds of local residents were present at the event. 

The ROB at Kalarahanga will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 70.30 crore.

The other three ROBs will come up at Patia, Bhusandpur (Tangi), and Taraboi (Jatni).

On this occasion, while replying to queries from journalists, MP Sarangi said, “Keeping people’s needs and demand in view, I had submitted proposals for a Railway Over Bridge (ROB) at Kalarahanga, Patia, Bhusandpur (Tangi) and Taraboi (Jatni). I am pleased to tell you that four ROBs at a total project cost of Rs 266.30 crore are coming up in my Parliamentary area. On several occasions, I had raised the demands and written letters to the Railway Minister as well. Today, the people’s demands are fulfilled. I am really thankful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister, and the officers of the Railways.”
