However, Satpathy refuted any chances of coming back to electoral politics.

“I have been invited to the inauguration ceremony by BJD President. I respect him a lot. I accepted his invitation and came to attend the ceremony out of respect. I am so happy to be invited to the ceremony,” said Satpathy.

“I have no party and I am not interested to have entry into electoral politics again. I am so happy now,” he added.

Giving his opinion about the new building of BJD, the former MP said, “The building is very beautiful. It was essential for the party. The initiative is welcome by one and all.”

However, Satpathy remained tight-lipped about the upcoming General Election and recent politics in Dhenkanal and Angul.

Notably, the four-time BJD MP had announced his retirement from politics in 2019 to refocus on journalism. Satpathy edits two dailies, one in Odia and the other in English.
