Alertness of security personnel at Puri Srimandir came under scanner after the visual of a foreign lady coming towards the barricade in ‘Badadanda’ in front of ‘Singha Dwara’ (Lions’ door) of Srimandir in Puri went viral over social media platforms.

The visual created a flutter among thousands of devotees of Lord Jagannath and several netizens as they suspected that the lady carrying a pack of ‘Prasad’ must have entered the 12th-century shrine.

As per sources, the foreign lady is suspected to be a devotee of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). However, nothing in this regard has been confirmed yet.

Now question mark has been raised on how the foreign citizen managed to enter that place which is inside the barricade in front of ‘Singha Dwara’, as found in the video clip.

Though her suspected entry did not cause any security threat, the security personnel at Srimandir drew flak for failing to stop her alleged entrance.

However, the official who is in charge of the security of Srimandir has refuted the allegation about the suspected entry of the foreign lady inside the Hindu temple.

Meanwhile, no comments could be obtained from the temple administration in this regard.

Notably, Srimandir in Puri is off limits to non-Hindus.
