Two farm labourers die, 25 critical as pick-up van overturns in Odisha's Kalahandi

As many as two farm labourers died and over 25 others were critically injured after a pick-up van they were travelling in overturned near Dokaripada under Golamunda police limits in Kalahandi district in the evening on Sunday. 

The injured people were admitted to Dharmagarh, Junagarh and Bhawanipatna hospitals.

As per reports, over 60 farm labourers were returning home from their workplace when the mishap occurred.

The condition of the injured was stated to be critical.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed grief over the tragic incident. He also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh each to the next kin of the deceased. Patnaik also ordered for proper treatment for the injured, wishing them a speedy recovery.
