Five dead in separate fatal road mishaps in Odisha

Five persons lost their lives in two separate road mishaps in Odisha on Friday evening.

While three persons including two minors were run over by a speeding car in Talcher, a couple was hit by a truck in Bolangir.

As per reports, a speeding car driven by a man reportedly under the influence of alcohol mowed down three persons including an elderly woman and her two minor grandchildren at Gobara village in Talcher.

The deceased have been identified as Pramila Pradhan (50), Poonam Pradhan (7), and Gugu Pradhan (4).

The car was seized and the driver was detained by the police.

In another accident, a couple lost their life after their bike was hit by a truck at Gaindimal village under Bolangir’s Turekela Police limits.

The couple reportedly hailed from the same Gaindimal village.

The truck driver reportedly fled the spot after the mishap.
