The first World Odia Language Conference is going to be held in Bhubaneswar in February 2024. A decision in this regard was taken at the Heritage Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.

This conference, a three-day-long affair, will witness the participation of nationally and internationally acclaimed linguists and experts. Besides, students from across the state will also take part in the conference. In the three days, special focus will be given on how the youths can be encouraged toward the use of the Odia language.

The government hopes the conference will help spread the Odia language in the country and abroad as well.
