It was the dream of my father-in-law, late Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, to see Dipali win and serve the people of Jharsuguda, said Charvi Das. Charvi, is the daughter-in-law of the late BJD Minister who was shot dead by an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in broad daylight this year.

The accused was subsequently nabbed form the spot and is now in custody. “Among several dreams, my father-in-law wanted to see Dipali win and serve Jharsuguda people and we only want to fulfil his dream,” said Charvi.

Charvi’s statements have certainly warmed up the ongoing debate over Dipali’s entry into active politics after her father’s demise.

While addressing a meeting on the occasion of the International Women’s Day at Laikera mini-stadium, Charvi said everybody wants to fulfil the dream of Naba Das. Hundreds of women from Laikera, Kirmira and Kolabira blocks had attended the programme.

While addressing the gathering, late Naba Das’ daughter Dipali assured the people to fulfil her father’s unfulfilled dreams and requested them to extend support to her family.

“The crowd here is a proof that everybody loved my father and it shows the love for CM Naveen Patnaik. Be it me or anybody from my family, we will get similar support like my father,” said Dipali.
