Evicted Divyang street vendors on Saturday staged a dharna in front of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) office, demanding rehabilitation in a vending zone.

As per reports, as many as 23 Divyang street vendors led by Congress leader Suresh Routray went to the BMC office and met the commissioner. They submitted a memorandum to the commissioner, requesting him to allocate them vending zones.

They alleged that the BMC had evicted them from the Market Building area. Hearing their problems, the Commissioner assured them to provide shops at Ghatikia.
