Drunk driver causes multiple accidents in Bhubaneswar, detained

Despite the Commissionerate Police’s zero-tolerance stance against drunk driving, accidents involving such drivers are still occurring. 

In the latest incident, a drunk driver was caught while he was trying to flee after hitting several vehicles and people in the Nayapalli area. According to sources, the said driver was coming from the Millennium Hospital side. On the stretch between the hospital and IRC village, he hit several vehicles and people. When he was trying to escape from the spot, local people overpowered him.

On being informed, a team from Nayapalli Police reached the spot and rescued him from the people. They also seized the vehicle.
