In a tragic incident, three members of a family died on the same day at Barigaon village under Keonjhar’s Ghtagaon police limits on Friday morning.
As per reports, a man and his son died in a road accident in the morning. Immediately after their death, the man’s brother died of cardiac arrest.
The deceased have been identified as Kande Munda, his son Laxman Munda and his brother Samara Munda.
Sources said Kande and his son Laxman were on their way to the weekly haat at Bankapatuli when an iron rod-laden truck hit their scooter near Pipilia Square. Both the father and son died on the spot.
The news of their death reached their village following which Kande’s brother Samara was struck with grief and he reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest. He passed away subsequently.
The death of three members of the family made the locals angry who blocked the National Highway demanding compensation.
The police reached the spot and removed the blockade after pacifying the villagers.
